Mitch Harris is above all else, a connector. He believes in the power of writing, performance, and education to bring people together. 

He has performed throughout Austin as an actor,  been published in multiple newspapers, literary journals, creative writing anthologies, and blogs as a writer, and founded/directed creative writing education programs to share these skills with the next generation.



Mitch uses all of these mediums in order to bear witness to complex human stories and share them in a real, powerful, and tangible ways in order to connect people and build community.



Mitch has BFA from St. Edward's University, is a member of the Writer's League of Texas, a deputy volunteer voter registrar, and an alumnus of Leadership Austin's Emerge Program 2015.

Mitch volunteers his time supporting his community as a Steering Committee Member for the original theatre festival 14/48 Austin and the board secretary for Austin Emerging Arts Leaders. He serves as a board member and Alumni Advisor for the Texas Capital Area branch of HOBY, and is a Texas State Parks Ambassador alumnus.



Additionally, Mitch loves traveling, beer, folk music, friendship, political activism, and Nintendo games.
